My remix of Christopher Norman & Topher Jones track Otherside just hit the shelves on your regular digital stores. Its out on Black Hole Recordings with mixes raging from dark proggish stuff to more easy access electro trance(?). I guess my mix is the one that stands out the most since its the slowest and is more in the vibe of the techier house, even though Beatport has labeled it progressive house.

Patrick Bjorkman gets deeper and creates a subtle melodic working take that gradually moves along with some interesting vocal use and an extra bass that lifts the feeling and mood up towards a better energy.

Finally my summer track for this season is out in the blue. ‘What Is This‘ is a Justice influenced house track with those dirty, gritty basslines we’ve come to love, a groovy beat and a high pitched asian-pop styled melody to top it all off.
The release is available exclusively from Beatport today and will be on all your regular sites in a few weeks. Together with my original you will be able to get a remix from The House Moguls, who remixed artist such as Kayne West and George Clinton, which takes the track in an different direction. A bit darker, a bit meaner but still funky as hell.

Been in the studio for two days working now and I finally got results. The remix of Chris track is now finished and shipped away for consideration for release.
Managed to sort out my music archive as well. Only bad thing about going digital / cd is that you seem to save all crap you get send and purchase instead of putting it in the back of the case. But now I’m all sorted out and everything is neatly ID tagged so that I can easily find what I want. Bet it will be a mess again in two weeks but at least it feels good for now.

But I finally see the light in the tunnel and hopefully I’ll be back on track soon enough.
In the near future a new track by me, ‘What Is This’ will be released on Dumb Recordings with a remix from the very talented Australian producer Rowe. The track is the result from listening to ‘Justice’ album for a whole summer and then getting into the studio with a head filled with distorted bass lines and pop melodies.
The track is already out on the sample album Dumbest Vol 4 released exclusivly on Beatport. Full release will be later this year, closer to the summer.
Other than that I’m also working on a few remixes for different labels. First up for completion is a vocal track made by Chris Vanderkolk. The original is a fast dark minimal track with a really nice guitar melody. What I intend to do is brining the speed down a bit and funk it up with a special blend of drums and bass
